Me and my fiance met online last January 2008. He came to the Philippines on May 2008, and he wants me to be with him in Missouri. We researched on the internet on how K-1 visa goes. He hired a visa lawyer and mailed the necessary papers last week.

I already have my passport, CENOMAR, Birth Certificate, Police Certificates.

I am not aware about CFO (Commission on Filipino Overseas???????) Seminar. I really don’t know what kind of seminar.

We’re just in the beginning of this whole process.

I need help regarding this K-1 Visa.

Hi Bleng,

this is the first time I encounter a problem like yours, I will ask some people I know and get back with you.
I don’t think it is that important for the signature to be the same, but I do think it should be there.
If you did not sign at all, that could maybe cause a delay.
Please do not panic yet, as I will research that for you.

hi maricel,

I am having a problem with my signature now. i am still waiting for my packet for my interview date. I didn’t call the US Embassy yet. Do I need to wait the packet before calling the US Embassy?

I’m so afraid what will happen in my medical and interview. The thing is…My Fiance told me to change my signature coz it has no meaning. I just added letter g on my signature that i used in the application form that my fiance brought here in PI for him to forward to USCIS.which is different from my signature in my passport.

Now, I wanna ask for your idea what am I going to do? I didn’t sign my DS-156,156k&157 forms yet.Pls. help me.is it okay to use the signature same as my passport, or the same signature that i used to my application form submitted by my Fiance to the USCIS in January? what are the possible things to do about it?

Looks like the procedures and fees changes quite a bit since we went thru this nightmare.

Wow! How difficult things can be! We filed on August 29th in an overnight package to USCIS. It wasn’t receipted in until October 10th!! We received our letter in March of 08 saying that Letlet was able to apply for an interview. First of course was the physical. When she got to St. Lukes, the fee had gone from $187.50 to $225.00!!! And they almost didn’t let here proceed as she only had a photocopy of the approval letter. (You must have the original). Then, they asked for her Cenomar. No one told us and it is not mentioned in the embassy website that this is necessary. But luckily, several of Letlet’s cousins and friends told her it was needed, and she was prepared. Lastly, she discovered that she needed to go to the CFO class, before the visa interview. Again, we were totally unaware, but she was able to get a reservation. Whew! Now we are only a few days away from the interview!! Fingers crossed!!

this sounds like the standard questions they would ask. I have been asked the same question, do not worry any more, I think I will be good, and you will have no problems at the interview.

Hello,I experience in st lukes take twice a urine test.i was so nervous on that time,im asked them whats the problem but they just told only to wait.the 2nd time the lady go w/ me inside the comfort room and they asked me when is my last period,if i take medicine and if im sexually active i said no! im so nervous on dat time but they still gave me my papers&go 2 nxt process.i get my vaccine,xray 2 just like what the pthers got. do u think it its ok? please help me coz i dont have peace of mins bacause of what they did that hang me in that section…they didnt told me anything…..thanks
